![]() Once in the Relationships view, there will be icons across the toolbar to add more people to the Active person’s family. Once you get past two people, this will become more dynamic as the view shifts to show the Relationships to the Active Person. Within the view you can select another person making them the Active Person. Their Parents, their Spouses and any children from these marriages. Then switching to the Relationships view will show their Families. Select one of the people in the list of People making that person the Active Person. The View that I use most often is the Relationships. I have attempted to fill in more information to get the new user started but it would not be available until 5.2 at the earliest. If there is any chance you can resurrect your old software I'd suggest you try as there's a good chance it will be able to output its data in GEDCOM format and whatever you chose to use now will be able to read that, saving you a ton of retyping.Actually there is a Welcome on the Dashboard that shows for first time users. ![]() In particular, keying in the data takes forever. BUT, MacKiev was doing the "porting" from Windows to Mac for Ancestry and they had a good customer based that they (MacKiev) did not want to lose, obtained all rights to both Windows and Mac versions. MacKiev acquired the rights and ownership from Ancestry when they (Ancestry) was going to drop the product. They have a Windows and a Mac version that are compatible to each other.
